Aftergraduatingfrom Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in 1989, Op. Dr. Ömer Arıkan worked in thesurgicaldepartments of Kilis StateHospital, Kartal StateHospital, and S.S.K. Göztepe Hospital as part of theacademicmedicalstaff. Since 1992, he has served as ChiefPhysicianand General SurgerySpecialist in variousprivatehospitals, includingtheAmericanHospitalaffiliatedwiththe Vehbi Koç Foundation. He has participated in numerousadvancedmedicalprograms in countriessuch as the United States (including UPMC – University of Pittsburgh Medical Center), the UK, Scotland, France, Germany, Belgium, andSpain.

His areas of expertiseinclude General andEmergencySurgery, LiverandKidneyTransplantation, LiverandPancreaticSurgery, LaparoscopicSurgery, IntraoperativeUltrasonography, ObesitySurgery, Basic and Advanced Life Support, andMicrosurgery.

Since 2024, Dr. Arıkan has beenworking as a consultingphysician at Heal Me Clinic.
