Prof. Dr. Fehmi Döner graduated from Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in 1988 and completed his residency training at Atatürk University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Otorhinolaryngology. After receiving his specialist title in 1994, he worked at Kütahya State Hospital for eight months and was then appointed as an Assistant Professor at Süleyman Demirel University, Department of Otorhinolaryngology.

He conducted six months of research on head and neck cancers at Istanbul Faculty of Medicine and earned the title of Associate Professor in 1997 and Professor in 2003. In 1998, he worked as an observer and researcher in the field of ear surgery under the supervision of Prof. Dr. P. Van den Broek at the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Katholieke Universiteit Nijmegen Faculty of Medicine in the Netherlands.

In 2005, he was appointed as the founding chief of the ENT Clinic at the Ministry of Health Bursa Yüksek İhtisas Training and Research Hospital, a position he held until 2011. Between 2011 and 2022, he served at prominent hospitals such as Bursa, Bahçelievler Medical Park, Ethica İncirli, and Şişli Kolan International Hospital. Since 2022, he has been seeing patients in his private clinic and, as of 2024, has started working as a consultant physician at Heal Me Clinic.
